5 New Restaurants To Try Now!:

East Meets West
Worth the drive, Etaru’s second location in Fort Lauderdale is a must for lovers of Japanese cuisine. The eatery’s new Las Olas location serves up tokusen dishes such as black kampachi sashimi with yuzu truffle dressing, wagyu sushi with oscietra caviar, scallions and ginger, and tuna toro tartare with wasabi ponzu dressing. To finish off? Smoked coconut with passionfruit parfait or dark chocolate and green tea pudding. 500 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, 954.477.8068

Patty Perfection
Options are plentiful at Burgerim, which just opened a new location in North Miami. Patties here include beef, dry-aged beef, Wagyu, merguez, salmon, veggie, lamb, turkey, chicken, falafel and more, with toppings that include sauteed mushrooms, pineapple and sunny-side up eggs. 1817 NE 123rd St., North Miami, 305.456.7030

European Flair
The menu at M House is inspired by the coastlines of Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Greece. That means standout dishes like the tagliatelle with Key West pink shrimp and tomato confit. For dessert, diners can’t go wrong with the Chocolate Tree, a flourless cake topped with Grand Marnier. 2524 LeJeune Road, Coral Gables, 786.369.5155

Venezuelan Flavors
We love what chef Carlos Garcia is doing at the pan-Latin Obra Kitchen Table, a new(ish) eatery on the ground floor of Jade on Brickell. The best seats here are at the counter that curves around the open kitchen, from where dishes like sea urchin with fried egg and corn and avocado risotto come out. For dessert, only the Toxic Chocolate (a cocoa terrine of sorts) will do. 1331 Brickell Bay Drive, Miami, 305.846.9363

Cuban Evolution
Executive chef William Milan likes to experiment in the kitchen and that’s the reason his Cuban dishes at Caña always hit the right mark. Case in point: Crispy octopus sauteed in olives and peppers and served over yuca mofongo. Need we say more? Hyatt Centric Brickell, 1102 Brickell Bay Drive, Miami, 786.535.1661
