ADI ZILBERBERG | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LUXURY SALES

The Edge (not to be confused with the nearby Edge House) is a high-design, luxury residential tower located at 490 NE 29th Street (some records also cite the site as 456 NE 29th St) in Miami’s Edgewater district. Developed by the joint venture of SB Development and Hazelton Capital Group, the 37-story tower was designed as an “undulating sculptural masterpiece” by Dieguez Fridman Arquitectos & Asociados in collaboration with local executive architect Kobi Karp. As of March 2026, the project is in the vertical construction phase following its 2024/2025 site preparation. Completion is estimated for late 2027 to 2028.
The building is defined by its 465-foot height and unique “ripple effect” glass facade, created by staggered floor slabs and varying glass orientations. With only 90 to 96 units, the project is exceptionally low-density for its height, offering a private, boutique-style atmosphere where most residences are corner units with expansive wrap-around terraces and direct vistas of Biscayne Bay.

The design by Dieguez Fridman a firm renowned for its contextual modernism focuses on “shifting planes.” The tower uses Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) cladding and floor-to-ceiling aluminum-framed glass to create a textured, moon-like reflection on the water.
Inside, the residences prioritize volume and light. Floor plans range from 1,233 to over 4,000 square feet, with a standout 5,462-square-foot 4-bedroom penthouse that features a private infinity-edge rooftop pool. Kitchens are designed with a “chef-first” approach, featuring integrated Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, custom European cabinetry, and oversized islands with natural stone waterfall edges.
