Mercedes-Benz Places, located at 1 Southside Park (1133 SW 2nd Avenue), is a 67-story mixed-use supertall that serves as the automotive giant’s first residential venture in North America. Developed by JDS Development Group in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, the tower features a striking “cuboid” design by SHoP Architects (architects of the Brooklyn Tower) and ODP, characterized by stacked, offset volumes that embody the brand’s “Sensual Purity” philosophy.
As of March 2026, the project is in a high-growth vertical construction phase. After officially going vertical in early 2025, Tower 1 (the South Tower) has successfully cleared its massive podium levels and is now rising steadily into the Brickell skyline. Sales for the second phase were launched in February 2025 due to overwhelming international demand. The project remains on track for its 2027–2028 completion goal.
